The Library of the Institut français is a multimedia resource centre about contemporary France. Its main mission is to provide information about the different aspects of French and French-speaking culture and civilization: literary, artistic, social, scientific and technical. The Library has three different areas: an adult section, a young people’s section and a multimedia space. Members of our staff are there to guide you in your research. Consultation is free of charge in all the sections, but you need to take out a subscription if you wish to borrow books and take them home.

Library stock in the French language is concentrated on French and Francophone culture and Arabic documents in French; it includes books, comics, newspapers, magazines, educational materials and DVDs.
