Registration Conditions

Rules of Procedure:

– Please bring an ID on the day of registration.
– It is strictly forbidden to enter the French Institute in Qatar (IFQ) premises with any dangerous object or product.
– The students must arrive on time for the beginning of the classes.
– The teacher will check the presence of the students at the beginning of each class.
– It is asked to have a respectful behavior towards teachers, staff and other students of the IFQ and to observe the local traditions.
– It is forbidden to eat or drink in the classrooms.
– It is forbidden to run or roller skate in the IFQ’s premises.
– Any loss or damage of the furniture and materials will be charged to the student or, in case of a minor student, to his/her parents.
– The IFQ reserves the right to exclude without refund and definitely any person whose behavior doesn’t comply with the requirements of these rules of procedure.

Minors students
– The IFQ is not responsible of the students, minor or major, outside the class time and the IFQ’s premises.
– In cases of foreseeable absence of minor students, their parents must inform previously the teacher.
– In case of minor students, the parents must absolutely pick up their children at the exact time of the end of the class and inside the IFQ’s premises. In case this rule is not respected, the IFQ cannot be held responsible if a problem occurred to the child.
– Any contagious disease of the student must be reported by the parents to the IFQ’s Reception-Information-Registration’s Department.
– The responsible people of the children commit themselves to have an eye on them and make sure that they will not disturb neither the classes in any way nor any other IFQ’s activities.
– During the breaks, the students stay under the direct supervision of their teacher.

Group Sessions

Rules:
– Seats are limited and no reservation is possible.
– The registration is effective only once the registration form has been fully filled and the whole payment has been made.
– Classes will be opened depending on the number of registrations. IFQ reserves the right to cancel classes for which the number of registrations is not sufficient. In this case, all the payments will be refund (including for books).
– The IFQ reserves the right to change the courses schedule and will inform the student as soon as possible.
– Within 3 weeks from the beginning of the session, changes of classes will be exceptionally possible, only with the previous agreement of IFQ’s Pedagogical Coordinator. Passed the 3 weeks, no any changes will be accepted.
– If no student shows up during the first 15 minutes from the beginning of the class, the teacher will leave his classroom. Please inform the IFQ if you should arrive late or cannot attend.
– The student is held to attend all the courses of the session. His/her passage to the higher level is conditioned by the assiduity with the courses (minimum 70%) and by the final mark (minimum 50%).
– The IFQ will search all the solutions to replace a teacher who is absent. If no substitute teacher has been found, the missing hours will be made up according to the availabilities of the students. Otherwise the missing hours will be paid back at the course rate.

-These conditions apply as well for online classes.

Refund:
– The IFQ reserves the right to cancel the courses in case of insufficient number of students. In this case, the amount paid will be refund.
– In case of cancellation after the beginning of the courses: No refund will be made.
– In case of cancellation before the beginning of the courses: A cancellation fee of 500 QAR will be charged.
– Request of postponement of registrations to later sessions can be considered only if the students have followed no classes at all.
– In any case, books cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Private Courses

Rules
– The minimum amount of course hours is 10 hours to be taken within a maximum of 12 weeks.
– The registration will be considered effective only once the registration form has been fully filled and the whole payment has been made.
– If the student does not show up during the first 15 minutes from the beginning of the class and has not informed of the delay, the teacher will leave his classroom and the lesson will be counted. For any planned absence, the student engaged himself to inform the teacher 24 hours before, otherwise the lesson will be counted.
– The IFQ will search all the solutions to replace a teacher who is absent. If no substitute teacher has been found, the missing hours will be made up according to the availabilities of the student. Otherwise the missing hours will be paid back at the course rate.

-These conditions apply as well for online classes.

Refund
– In case of cancellation before the beginning of the courses: A cancellation fee of 500 QAR will be charged.
– No other refund request will be considered.
– In any case, books cannot be refunded or exchanged.
