L’Institut Français propose des sessions de cours de français pour enfants et adolescents.
- Cours enfants : à partir de 5 ans et jusqu’à 11 ans. Cours proposés selon l’âge et le niveau des enfants.
- Cours adolescents : à partir de 12 ans et jusqu’à 15 ans.
Le paiement se fait lors de l’inscription.
L’inscription aux cours de langue donnent l’accès gratuit à la médiathèque.
The Institut français offers French courses for children and teens.
- Children courses : from 5 to 11 years old. Courses depend upon the age and the level of the kids
- Teen courses : from 12 to 15 years old
Students are divided into groups according to their ag and level of fluency. If your child is not a complete beginner he/she must take a short written and oral placement test before registering. Exception: no test for children between 5 and 7 years old.
Payment is done when you register. Registration grants you free access to the library
Children course from 5 to 7 years old
The course is held on a smooth carpet in a playfull and relaxed atmosphere. The 1 hour classes are conducted on weekdays after school time 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (twice-weekly/12 weeks).
Tatou Le Matou is a little cat that takes young children along for his adventures. This method takes a multi-sensory approach of the French language, with a focus on imagination, leading to a discovery of French fairy tales, making French education fun and exciting. Tatou, is one of the children’s favourite character. Songs, Arts & Crafts, Poems are only a sample of all the activities developed during those levels.
All children must start at the first level as the stories of Tatou are all connected and progress up to the level Children 6.
Children will also keep singing their favourite French songs at home and in the car with Tatou Le Matou CD.
Children course from 8 to 11 years old
1 hour classes conducted on weekdays after school time 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (twice-weekly/12 weeks).
This course is suitable for children aged between 8 to 11 who wish to prepare for the primary DELF axam. This course takes a communicative approach and so the wealth of exercices provided give the young learners the opportunity to hone these skills in an enjoyable way. They will improve their writting and speaking skills.
Teenagers course from 12 to 16 years old.
1 ½ hours classes conducted on weekdays after school time 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm (twice-weekly/12 weeks).
Teenagers will use the set of Pourquoi pas!, books 1 to 3 (textbook and exercise book). It is the first action-oriented language teaching method for teenagers, and it takes into account their interests. With Pourquoi pas!, young students will be fully involved in both written and oral activities, in individual or group tasks.
